In June Ipswich Choral Society follows up an invitation to return to Todi in Umbria to perform at two venues in this beautiful part of the Italy. Memories of our last trip there in 2009 are of enthusiastic audiences, fine food and wine, good singing and an extraordinary lecture on the history of St Francis of Assisi and antiquities in general in a cosy apartment in the city where to sit down anywhere was to make contact with priceless relics dating to the time of Abraham and beyond!
Next year is the hundredth anniversary of the birth of Benjamin Britten, one-time Ipswich Choral Society president and the nephew of a past Ipswich Choral Society musical director. To celebrate, the choir will premiere a specially commissioned work in their 2013/14 season.
By using the links below Ipswich Choral Society will receive a small commission.
